As for his father, Marcel Dassault, in 1986, all leading figures from the government, the armed forces and the aerospace industry were on hand to honor the memory of this patriotic and visionary engineer.

Employees at all Dassault Aviation plants assembled as well to pay tribute to Serge Dassault’s passion for aeronautics, his human vision of business, his courage, his perseverance and his winning spirit.

Serge Dassault oversaw the considerable growth of the company founded by his father. Under his direction, we deployed ambitious, long-term strategies consistent with the extended lifecycle of our products.

Thanks to Serge Dassault, we strengthened the fundamentals that underpin our success: technical excellence coupled with a passion for “beautiful” airplanes that enable us to attract and keep top talent; family shareholding and spirit to guarantee management stability and sustain our exceptional social model; and of course efficient management to ensure the long-term viability of our enterprise and lay solid groundwork for the future.
