Organized by the Fondation des œuvres sociales de l’air, the air show at Base 709 in Cognac will be held this year on May 21 and 22. And the staging, whether aerial or static, is sure to be worthy of the event!

There will be something for everyone! This year, the organizers of the Cognac air show have pulled out all the stops and are already proposing a high-quality schedule, whether on the ground or in the air of the Charente sub-prefecture. Dassault Aviation, a partner of the event, will be present on the ground and in the sky, with a large stand open to the public.

In the air, representing the military, in addition to the Patrouille de France and its Alpha Jets, the public will be able to watch aerial demonstrations by two Rafale aircraft from the 30th fighter squadron and a presentation of the Rafale Solo Display. In parallel, there will be performances from helicopters and parachutists (French and British, among others), along with aircraft of the European Armed Forces, such as an F-16 from the Belgian army.

Regarding civil aircraft, aficionados of vintage models will be able to admire the North American F86 Sabre in flight, the mythical Spitfire of the Royal Air Force and a French training aircraft dating from the 1930s, namely the Morane-Saulnier MS 317.

On the ground, in addition to the helicopters and European aircraft on display, visitors will be able to see three Mirage models, as well as two Rafale aircraft (one from the Navy) and an Alpha Jet. Visitors will also be able to climb onboard a Canadair CL-415 and an Airbus 400M.

It is an airshow that promises to be as spectacular in the sky as on the ground, offering a program that should suit everyone, whatever their age!
