Cookies Policy

When an Internet user (hereinafter the “User”) visits the website as well as any other web pages associated with this domain name (hereinafter individually or collectively referred to as the “Website”), Dassault Aviation and its partners may use cookies – which process the User’s data including Personal Data – in order to improve browsing.

The cookies used on the Website by Dassault Aviation are described in section 4 of this document. The cookies used on the Website by partners are described in section 5 of this document.

The specific case of AT Internet audience measurement cookies is described in section 4.3.2 of this document.

1. Definition

The French Data Protection Authority (Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés – “CNIL”) defines a cookie as “a small file stored by a server on a user’s device (computer, smartphone, etc.) and associated with a web domain (that is, in the majority of cases, all the pages of one website). This file is automatically sent during subsequent visits to the same domain.”

2. The User’s information

Dassault Aviation undertakes, through an information banner used on the Website and through this document, to inform the User clearly and fully of the purpose of any action attempting, through electronic transmission, to (i) access information already stored on the User’s electronic communication device equipment or (ii) record information on this equipment.

Dassault Aviation undertakes, also through the aforementioned information banner, to inform the User of the means available to them to configure their choices and to withdraw their consent if necessary.

3. Consent and Case of consent exemption

The use of cookies by Dassault Aviation on the Website is also contingent upon the User’s expression of consent corresponding to a clear and positive action.

The User’s consent is not obtained in the event that the use of cookies (i) has the exclusive purpose of enabling or facilitating electronic communication or (ii) is strictly required for providing an online communication service at the express request of the User.

As such and in view of the applicable legislation, there are two types of cookies used on the Website: cookies requiring the User’s prior consent to be obtained and the cookies that are exempt from consent (hereinafter referred to as the “Required Cookies”).

It should be noted that Personal Data associated with the Cookies used by Dassault Aviation is processed in accordance with the principles of the European (EU) Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free circulation of such data (the “GDPR”) and the French law of January 6, 1978, amended, relating to data protection and privacy (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Personal Data Legislation”).

Using the “accept all” or “reject all” buttons appearing in the information banner, the User may consent or not in a comprehensive way to the cookies relating to the purposes shown. The User’s silence, which may mean simply continuing to browse, will be interpreted as refusal.

The User may nevertheless object to this personal browsing data being processed by clicking on this unsubscribe link.

With regard to these cookies, Google is considered as the sole Controller as defined by the Personal Data Legislation.

6. Personal Data Legislation

In all circumstances, the User reserves the right to access their Personal Data. The User may also request that their Personal Data is modified or deleted. The User may also object to their Personal Data being processed or request that this is restricted.
