Under the patronage of Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of the French Armed Forces, and supported by Dassault Aviation, the 12th Prix du Livre de Géopolitique took place on July 2 at the Hôtel Marcel Dassault, under the chairmanship of Jean-Yves Le Drian, personal representative of the President of the Republic in Lebanon, former French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, former French Minister of Defense, and Éric Trappier, Chairman of the Groupe Industriel Marcel Dassault, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation.
Created in 2013 by Jean-Yves Le Drian, then French Minister of Defense, Cédric Lewandowski, vice-president of Lire la Société, and Luce Perrot, founding president of Lire la Société, the Prix du Livre de Géopolitique rewards a work (study, essay, biography, etc.) that succeeds in making geopolitical and strategic processes readable. Its aim is to enable a broad, non-specialized French-speaking public to gain a better understanding of the major international issues of our time. The Special Prize is designed to highlight an exceptional book, a complete work or a translated work.
Under the patronage of the great geographer and professor Yves Lacoste, the jury is made up of senior political and military figures, researchers, experts, academics and journalists. It is chaired by Jean-Yves Le Drian and Éric Trappier.
