Initiated and organized by Dassault Aviation since 2014, the Dassault UAV Challenge is aimed at students from French engineering schools and universities. The inter-school student challenge involves designing, automating, and optimizing a drone in order to address the issues faced by aircraft manufacturers.
With mixed teams of 2 to 6 students per school, the competition calls for multidisciplinary skills: model aircraft design, automation, programming, electronics, machine learning, project and team management, as well as technical and interpersonal skills.
After several weeks of selection, there will be more than 6 months of design, development, and testing, followed by 2 days of live competition for the finalists over a weekend in May.
The challenge culminates in an exceptional, unique, and immersive day organized in honor of the winning team.
Registration for the 2025/2026 edition is open until Sunday, September 28, at the following address: dassault-uav-challenge@dassault-aviation.com
