This story draws parallels between two destinies: that of a vole and that of Amelia Earhart, a true aviation legend.

One fine day, a vole meets a mouse. Together, they discover several objects, such as a stamp that inspires them to travel around the world. Accompanied by another mouse, an aviator herself, the two companions set off to explore the globe. Soon, a small flying machine is concocted, despite the uncertainties of the vole’s family, who fear for the fate of the little creature once it leaves the ground…

Very quickly, however, the vole manages to fly aboard the aircraft, discovering unknown landscapes and horizons, but also other creatures, some wanting to help him, others not at all… Corresponding regularly with the flying mouse he met underground, the little animal flies! Crossing the Atlantic and visiting Africa, it overcomes many challenges, weathering several storms and finally circumnavigating the globe, following in the footsteps of the American navigator who disappeared in 1937, Amelia Earhart. This is a beautiful book that inspires dreams, takes flight, and introduces young children to the life and work of a pioneer of aviation.
