Young readers will love this! The first volume in a series, Le Vol du Jungmann tells the story of teenagers who dream of flying… and who aren’t afraid to make it happen!

This is a new title in the galaxy of aviation comics for young people that should find its audience, given the lack of publications aimed at this age group: “There are many aviation comics for young children and teenagers, but relatively few for those in between. We hope to remedy this with ‘Arnold et Cie’,” explains publisher Paquet.

Let’s move on to the plot. At Air Base 113 in Saint-Dizier-Robinson (Haute-Marne), the base commander is preparing to take his well-deserved retirement when suddenly a Jungmann biplane with no flight plan or authorization is spotted in the airspace. BA 113 has just enough time to dispatch two Rafale jets to intercept it when two Breitling biplanes appear in the sky.

On board the Jungmann are Arnold and Erica. The problem is that these two teenagers have never flown before and took advantage of the presence of the pre-World War II aircraft at the famous Ferté-Alais air show to borrow it! On board the two Breitlings are aerobatic pilots who left the air show, Le Temps des Hélices, to lend them a hand.

Technical problems, news channels getting carried away and getting involved, fear of a hefty disciplinary fine… Arnold and Erica’s return to earth promises to be eventful.
