In this new volume of Buck Danny’s “Classic” adventures, Buck Danny and his companions dive into the heart of the Suez Canal crisis, during the most tense hours of the Cold War.
April 1955, Indonesia. The Bandung Conference brings together some thirty leaders of non-aligned countries, one of whom stands out by delivering the closing speech: the president of the Revolutionary Command Council of the Republic of Egypt, Gamal Abdel Nasser.
July 1956, Egypt. The same Nasser, newly elected president of the Egyptian Republic, decided to nationalize the Suez Canal, which allows ships to pass between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean. A real crisis began, as the canal was of major geopolitical and commercial importance.
