In this new volume, Lucie and Dunk are once again thrown into the vortex and think they are returning to 2024. Unfortunately, this time they find themselves in the middle of the American fleet of World War II aircraft, just as the Provence landings (June 15, 1944) are about to take place. Their aircraft, not the one they used to travel back in time, is shot down by US Air Force planes.
To find their way back to the present day, they will have to use their ingenuity, evading the Allies, the Resistance, and even the Germans. Among the latter, a pilot who had spotted them in 1917 and become a high-ranking officer in Nazi Germany could cause them serious trouble by getting his hands on their F-18, which no one knows if it “survived” the interwar period. This possibility could change the course of World War II, and therefore history…
