Calling all owners of small aircraft and/or microlights! After a break in 2024, the Traine-Queue gathering returns for a promising 21st edition.

An event that’s becoming a must-attend! Since 2002, classic train aviation enthusiasts have been gathering in Paray-le-Monial (in the Saône-et-Loire département) to celebrate old-fashioned aviation. In 2025, Traîne-Queue returns for its 21ᵉ edition, on June 21 and 22 to be exact, for what promises to be an exceptional weekend right in the heart of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere (with stands, catering and more), dozens of ULMs and aircraft with the famous tailwheel will land at the Paray-le-Monial aerodrome. In 2023, no fewer than 140 aircraft, from the lightest Colibri to the sturdiest North American T-6, not forgetting the Piper or the Jodel, honored the event with their presence. Audiences and crews were able to exchange views with participants from all over France, as well as from neighbouring countries such as Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and Belgium.

After the cancellation of the 2024 edition due to capricious weather, 2025 is already shaping up to be an excellent vintage, with “numerous registrations” (compulsory for both drivers and amateur photographers) already registered, according to the organizers. In short, whether you’re a seasoned racer or an enthusiast fascinated by the vintage elegance of classic trains, the event is the perfect opportunity to share your passion, right in the middle of Charolais country.
