In its February-March 2026 issue, the bimonthly military aviation magazine honors the Mirage 2000 for its four decades of service to the blue, white, and red flag.

The Mirage 2000 is (clearly) the star of this issue, judging by the cover that Raids Aviation magazine has dedicated to this exceptional fighter jet! And it was only fitting to crown forty years of indispensable service in the French Air and Space Force fleet. As a reminder, the Mirage 2000N’s maiden flight took place on March 3, 1986—many versions would follow (but we’re not telling you anything new here).

In addition to this heartfelt tribute to one of the spearheads of French aeronautics, the magazine also highlights two recent events: Taranis, which took place at the end of 2025 and was designed to put the personnel and aircraft of the Air Assault and Projection Brigade (BAAP) through their paces, and a close-up look at one of the regular firing campaigns carried out at Solenzara (Corsica), involving Dassault Rafale and/or Mirage aircraft. Also in this issue: a look back at the Volfa 2025 exercise, which involved a thousand airmen and around fifty aircraft across the country.

Internationally, we head to Italy with the Falcon Strikes 2025 exercise (a joint training exercise involving France, the United Kingdom, the United States, etc.); a focus on transalpine air power; a detour to the North Atlantic to observe the forces present; a detour to Poland for the Radom air show; and a visit to Dubai for a spectacular air show. Not to mention the magazine’s usual news briefs and other regular features.
