A real treat for model aircraft aficionados! To coincide with the publication of this issue, the editorial team presents three model aircraft. The first is the Focke-Wulf 189 A-2 (1/48 scale), a German reconnaissance plane from the Second World War. The second is a reconstruction of the Dassault Mirage IIIEE (1/48 scale), which served in Spain from the late 1960s to the early 1990s. The third is the Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate single-seat fighter (1/72 scale), which served with the Imperial Japanese Army during the last two years of the 1939-1945 war.
Also on the agenda: a detailed look at the entire Airfix range of models, the presentation of a miniature of the British Sea Hurricane (or Hawker Hurricane), which served in the Royal Navy (1/48 scale), as well as the traditional features (must-see events, not-to-be-missed books, etc.).
Last but not least, a tribute to singer Herbert Léonard, who passed away last March. During the 1970s, he was editor of “Aviation Magazine”.
