For the 22nd consecutive year, the Dassault Group is once again supporting the Trans-Forme association.
This year, the team has 16 runners. During 4 days and 4 nights, various running and cycling stages will allow the teams (and the caravan) to cover the 750 km between Paris and Bourg-Saint-Maurice Les Arcs.
They are supported by a sponsor, Valérie Guillemet, Director of Human Resources at Dassault Aviation, and a godfather, Captain (R) Jean-Guillaume “Marty” Martinez, Rafale Solo Display 2016-2017 and Rafale instructor at the Rafale 3/4 Aquitaine transformation squadron.
A sporting challenge, but above all a strong human experience, the Course du cœur is above all, in France, one of the major events to raise public awareness of the success of transplantation and the need for organ donation. This year, the campaign is focused on kidney transplants.
According to the Biomedicine Agency, one in ten French people is affected by kidney disease. In 2019, in France, 3,643 kidney transplants will be performed, 510 of which will be through living donation. Living kidney donation is free of charge and consented in a free and informed manner.
