Origins and prototypes

After the war, while the Bordeaux design office was working on the Flamant, Boulogne worked on a small three-seat trainer, the MD 80 ABC.

With its 240 hp Renault 6-Q engine, it made its first flight at Melun-Villaroche on October 16, 1950, piloted by Kostia Rozanoff.

It was not taken forward for manufacturing for lack of official interest.
