An exceptionally staged, remarkable event! Celebrating half a century of the “propeller era” air show! The La Ferté-Alais air show, “Le Temps des Hélices”, celebrates its fiftieth anniversary this year. With a high-flying program, it goes without saying…

For its fiftieth edition (having been created in 1970), the famous air show organized by the Jean-Baptiste Salis Association, is pulling out all the stops for a plethora of spectators (40,000 expected) and partners, including Dassault Aviation, who will be in attendance once again.

On May 27 and 28, 2023, in addition to the usual activities (autographs, vintage car and motorcycle parades, historical re-enactments, lots of varied stands, etc.), the program and the aircraft on display—of which we expect to see more than a hundred—will undeniably have a vintage feel!
In the “pioneer corner” you will find the Morane Saulnier Type H, the Blériot XI², the Deperdussin Type T and even Adrienne Bolland’s Caudron G3, to name a few. In the First World War section, the public will be able to admire Fokkers and the Bückers.

On the Second World War “menu”, the “Tora Tora Tora” show will immerse spectators in a pyrotechnic re-enactment of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, with more than ten aircraft from the legendary manufacturer North American Aviation taking part. Also up in the air flying the colors of the 1939-1945 theme: the Curtis H-75A-1, the Morane-Saulnier MS.406-C1, the Junkers Ju 52/3m, the Messerschmitt Bf 108, the Supermarine Spitfire, the Douglas DC-3, and more. As for the aircraft from the Vietnam War, you can expect to see the North American Aviation T-28B Trojan, the Douglas AD-4N Skyraider, etc.

Finally, the contemporary aircraft taking off in La Ferté-Alais will include the Rafale Marine and the Dassault Flamant MD-311, the Patrouille de France aerobatics display team’s Alpha Jet, the Belgian Air Force’s F-16, along with a range of helicopters. There will be innovations on show, plus aerobatics, and more. In short, an exceptional line-up for the spring public holiday weekend. Fingers crossed that the sun will shine, so that young and old alike can fully enjoy celebrating this 50th anniversary!
