After having dedicated three reference books on the Charles de Gaulle, SPE Barthélémy has published a new work on the famous French aircraft carrier, the successor to a prestigious tradition and marked by the history of its predecessors Foch and Clemenceau.

This new book opens with a condensed version of the 1,400 pages previously published, and focuses on the fifteen years in operation of the aircraft carrier and its air group. It covers the aircraft carrier’s first mission in 2001 to support efforts in Afghanistan from the Indian Ocean, to its role in operation Chammal in 2015 and 2016.

This is also an opportunity to pay tribute to the men and women who take part in this exceptional human adventure on a daily basis.
