Maurice Brochet is a name anchored in the history of light aviation. Christian Noël-Brochet and Patrick Gilliéron look back at the amazing career of this ingenious character.

The adventure began with a glide at the Institut Aérotechnique de Saint-Cyr-l’École in January 1931. Despite basic knowledge, he started designing a glider. On June 14, 1931, the MB-10 Ginette made two flights of 47 and 32 seconds. Brochet then obtained his pilot’s license for airplanes without engine on November 22, 1931.

He then built three Avia 32-E gliders in 1933, transformed an Avia 15-A glider into an auxiliary propulsive engine glider called MB 20 and built a version with a tractive engine called MB 30 (MB for Maurice Brochet). Then, he specializes in the construction and repair of gliders.

Several models of aircraft dedicated to glider towing and travel followed… Several Brochet aircraft still fly today in France and England.

Discover the history of this creative and determined craftsman through this book full of photos and documents of the period.
