From April 29 to May 1, the 6th Carrefour de l’Air, organized by the Air and Space Museum, will bring together 4,000 aviation fans over the weekend.
This event, which highlights aviation heritage at the Air and Space Museum, is an opportunity for collectors, organizations and aviation museums to pass on and share their passion with the general public.
Entry is free, and the Carrefour de l’Air is split into 3 phases:
- Conferences on “Collecting, conserving and promoting aviation heritage” on Friday April 29 from 9:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Roland Garros Amphitheater;
- A dynamic fly-in of around twenty historical aircraft on Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1 on the Tango Nord tarmac;
- An exhibition by the museums and organizations specialized in conserving aviation heritage on Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1 in the Concorde Hall.
This 6th Carrefour de l’Air is also an opportunity for the Air and Space Museum to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the specialized channel, Aerostar TV, and to pay tribute to Stephen Grey, a former RAF pilot and one of the world’s leading collectors.
Scientific events linked to aerospace are also provided for young people and families throughout the weekend.
