The Chartres airshow plans to set the bar high for its first event! And judging by the announced line-up, this should be the case…
This is the latest of the “Made in France” airshows and in terms of line-up is by no means modest, which we certainly won’t hold against it! Organized by the Aéro-Club de Chartres (recently taken over by the enterprising Antoine Crochon) and the Aéro-Club de France, the Chartres show will take place on September 24th, 2023, and commentary will be provided by weather presenter Louis Bodin.
On the day we can expect legendary and vintage aircraft (around 50 in all), a careers fair dedicated to aviation, exhibitors, reconstruction of a village in the Second World War, etc. Among the aircraft in attendance at this first Chartres airshow, there will be the Alpha Jets of the Patrouille de France, two Dassault Rafales, four Fouga Magisters, aerobatic aircraft, the Spitfire, the P40, the Hawk 75 and ULMs.
A line-up to match that of many other French airshows, then, and an event set to be the first of more to come!
