November 11, 1918. The armistice has been signed. Sensing a change in the wind regarding postal aviation, businessman Ernest de Galardon sets up his own company to connect Casablanca (Morocco) to Dakar (Senegal). To achieve this, he recruits former pilots involved in the conflict – French and Belgians, of course, but also Germans. Sadly, the best of them, an ace named Adrien Delamare, regularly struggles with alcohol.

One morning, unable to take part in a flight due to yet another night of debauchery to forget the murder of his friend Hercule, he is replaced by a certain Christina at the controls of his aircraft. But after more than four hours in the air, the plane loses contact.

Adrien will have to crisscross the desert between Casablanca and Dakar, on board a Breguet, to solve the mystery surrounding the plane’s disappearance – and maybe Hercule’s death, too. With competition among pilots, an unstable post-conflict environment and the emergence of rival company Latécoère (which Ernest de Galardon intends to bring down by any means necessary), the stakes in this affair may be higher than at first glance.

This is a two-part adventure to read for the first time, or all over again, that immerses the reader in post-war aviation, with breathtaking aerial scenes set against a backdrop of magnificent desert landscapes. This complete edition consists of volumes 1 and 2 of “Courrier de Casablanca” – “Christina” and “Asmaa”.
