On Friday, June 29, 2018, France 5 is broadcasting the first episode of an exclusive four-part documentary series, directed by Sylvain Bergère, about the pilot Dorine Bourneton.

At the age of 16, Dorine Bourneton became a paraplegic following a plane crash, and since this tragic accident, she has never abandoned her dreams. As the world’s first disabled female aerobatics pilot, she is a real role model and source of hope for anyone who has been involved in a life-changing accident. Her unwavering commitment, recognized by the Legion of Honor she received in 2015, has helped to change French regulations to enable people with disabilities to become professional pilots.

In the first episode of this documentary series “D’un ciel à l’autre” [From one horizon to another], Dorine Bourneton flies over areas off the beaten track. The young woman lands in Alaska (United States), the first stage in her great journey through the skies. With the help of Alan, she learns to take off and land on water on the lakes in the area. With Dave, she takes on the challenge of the glaciers of the legendary Denali.
