The latest Fana de l’Aviation puts the Mirage back in the spotlight

Following on the heels of the special feature devoted to the Mirage 2000 and its last issue (no. 581), Le Fana de l’Aviation continues its series with two new articles on this emblematic airplane produced by Dassault.

Following on the heels of the special feature devoted to the Mirage 2000 and its last issue (no. 581), Le Fana de l’Aviation continues its series with two new articles on this emblematic airplane produced by Dassault.

The first is a collection of accounts on the prototyping of the Mirage. In the words of the pilots and engineers who worked on its design, this special feature looks back at the test flights that enabled the program to succeed.

The second highlights a little-known episode in the history of the war between Iran and Iraq, which allowed the Mirage to show the extent of its operational qualities. During a raid on Iranian oil tankers, the aircraft excelled through the precision, endurance and stealth for which it is famous.

Le Fana de l’Aviation continues to perpetuate this renown.
