Issue 565 of “Le Fana de l’Aviation” (The Aviation Fan) focuses on the Mirage F1, with a fascinating special feature.
The magazine retraces the birth of this mythical fighter plane and includes a compelling account by Jean-François Lipka, who flew for 1,500 hours in various Mirage F1 models between 1981 and 1991. This feature is accompanied by an extensive photo collection illustrating many liveries.
The magazine also published the first part of a long article on the arrival of the famous American P-51s in Japan, from April to August 1945. For the occasion, the cover image by illustrator Romain Hugault shows one of these Mustangs flying over a Japanese village.
