For the release of this 28th edition, the editorial board of this quarterly magazine offers readers a tribute to the flagship of French business aviation: the Dassault Falcon. And that’s not all…

For this first publication of 2023, “Airways” has set the bar pretty high with a special feature on the front page dedicated to a legendary Dassault Aviation aircraft, the Falcon.

To do so, the editorial board has gone way back (to the early 1960s) when the program was still called “Mystère-Falcon” or “Mystère 20”, before it took off on the international market, with the first 200 models being sold to the American airline Pan Am. It would be followed by the Falcon 10, Falcon 50 (1970s), Falcon 900 and the mythical Falcon 2000 (no fewer than six versions!), as well as the Falcon 7X, 8X and 6X, and the very promising 10X is still pending, expected for 2024.

Also not to be missed in the columns of the “civil aviation magazine” is a long-form article dedicated to decision-making in degraded situations and an introduction to the pilot Henri Guillaumet, who most notably took part in the early stages of the Latécoère and Aéropostale airlines in the 1920s.

For the rest of this summary, the quarterly magazine offers readers a close-up of Chambéry Airport, dedicates an article to the Boeing 767 and the 757, invites readers to take the controls of an Embraer 190 and encourages the curious to learn about Italian aeronautic innovations with a profile of Gianni Caproni, the engineer who founded an aircraft manufacturing company bearing his name. Not to mention the regular features! Happy reading
