Meaux Airshow 2018

On Sunday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., there will be an air show at the Meaux-Esbly airfield. This 2018 edition pays tribute to the La Fayette squadron, founded during World War I, which brought together French officers and North-American pilots.

On the ground, there will be a huge exhibition of around a hundred aircraft and helicopters, as well as presentations on various subjects (the aviator Adolphe Pégoud, former airfields, the museum of the Great War, the Air and Space museum, etc.). Visitors can try their hand at flight simulators and maiden flights will be on offer.

In the air, 80 aircraft will take off to entertain the public. Aerobatics, reenactment of air combats, demos of helicopter, historic aircraft, as well as the Mirage 2000 and Rafale: an aerial line-up to dazzle and delight the 40,000 people expected to attend this air show in Seine-et-Marne for the 1914-1918 Centenary.

Lastly, ahead of this air show, the museum of the Great War is organizing a reenactment of aerial combats on Saturday, June 23, at 5 p.m.
