After four years of absence, the “Des Etoiles et des Ailes” air show at Toulouse-Francazal airport is back! A very nice program!
After a third edition in 2018 that attracted some 30,000 spectators, and due to the postponement of the 2020 event because of the pandemic, the Des Etoiles et des Ailes meeting is back to its cruising rhythm – that is, an event every two years, and this since 2014. So the organization wanted to put the small dishes in the big ones on the occasion of this resumption… Thus, for this fourth edition, visitors will be able to admire not less than a hundred aircraft – old and new – for thirteen hours of show spread over the weekend. Among the most famous aircraft presented to the public in early autumn, let’s mention the Cessna 337 Push Pull (never seen in France), the Skyraider, the Bronco, the F-86, the Grunman G164. The list of demonstrations includes the Patrouille de France (with its new “ribbon” presentation), the Rafale Solo Display, the A400M, whose history is closely linked to the Rose City, and the Patrouille du Maroc, “La Marche Verte”, which will be the only one in Europe this year.
On the ground, there will be exhibitions, flight simulators, meeting areas on the theme of aeronautics, in addition to various activities. Also noteworthy is the presence of some fifteen authors (comic books, youth, aviation stories, etc.) at a dedicated exhibition.
