The Mirage 2000-5 origami model is now available on the Dassault Aviation website!
The Mirage 2000-5, the more modern version of the Mirage 2000, is a French fighter jet designed by Dassault Aviation at the end of the 1970s. This aircraft is mainly used by the French Air Force. The key new feature of the Mirage 2000-5 is the RDY radar, which can detect 24 targets and track 8 targets, and fire 4 MICA missiles simultaneously at 4 different targets.
During an interview, Marcel Dassault explained how he named his Mirage aircraft in reference to the aircraft’s attack and avoidance abilities to escape from enemies. According to him, his aircraft were “invulnerable to enemy strikes, just as the mirage is elusive for the desert traveler.”
