The 20th edition of the “Childhood Dreams” aerial tour will be jet setting across France from May 6-14, 2016.
For twenty years, the Chevaliers du Ciel (Knights of the Sky), the association that organizes the event, have given “extraordinary” children the opportunity to meet “ordinary” children, so they can grow and develop together in a project that is both educational and fun. To conclude each stage on a high note, the association offers kids the chance to experience a first flight together in pairs.
This year, with their teachers and caretakers, the children worked together for several months on an educational project, “a remarkable act,” in the words of the Chevaliers du Ciel. They tackled the topics of aviation, flight and the world of the skies. The children will present their “remarkable acts” at the airfield on the big day.
As a preamble to this tour of France, the airplanes are on the ground in Lyon, before taking flight to visit, in stages, nine towns around France (Lyon, Colmar, Lille, Les Mureaux, Blois Vendôme, Chambéry, Salon de Provence, Béziers). The journey will end in Toulouse.
The sponsors of this operation, José Garcia and Véronique Jannot, will be in attendance at some of the locations.
This year, Dassault Aviation and its crew will be taking part once again in this event, which is an opportunity for children to understand one another and share experiences, so that they become indifferent to difference: the association’s key objective.
