The Little Prince, a predominantly French production directed by Mark Osborne, has received the 2016 César Award for Best Animated Feature Film. It took the film teams several years to adapt and transpose the imaginary world of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s tale, in particular through the little Prince’s magnificent drawings.

More than 250 people worked to put this film together, using two animation techniques: 3D computer graphic images and stop motion, animation shot image by image to make small objects appear to move, a technique that pays tribute to the drawings of Saint-Exupéry, a man who was a writer, aviator and poet.
