The “Wings and Wine” open house will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Libourne Airfield, showcasing two of the region’s activities: wine and aviation.
Nestled in the heart of the Gironde vineyards, Libourne Airfield is all set to introduce visitors to the worlds of wine and aviation, two of the region’s activities, on Saturday, May 18. Guided tours of static exhibits (vintage aircraft), unaccompanied tours (mock-ups and small-scale models) and hands-on tours (inside aircraft) should make the day one to remember.
A number of stands showcasing regional fine wines including Saint-Emilion, Montagne and Pomerol, will also be set up around the airfield. Producers will present their wines at guided tasting sessions.
The highlight of the open house will be a flight in an airplane, ULA or helicopter over the region’s magnificent vineyards.
Free entry (9 am to 7:30 pm), Aérodrome de Libourne, 33570 Les Artigues-de-Lussac, France
