For the second time in four years, France is hosting the World Aerobatic Championships from August 22 to 31, 2019.
After the success of the 2015 and 2017 events, the French team will be fighting for their title as world champions at Châteauroux-Centre airport. With ceremonies and flight demonstrations, this year’s event will welcome no less than 10 male and female pilots from the Fédération Française Aéronautique, including Aude Lemordant, ambassador for Dassault Aviation, twice World Aerobatic Champion in the women’s category (2013 and 2015), and current champion and six-time French Elite Aerobatic Female Champion (2011 to 2014, 2018, 2019).
After winning six world titles in 1994, 2000, 2009, 2013, 2015 and 2017, the French Aerobatics Unlimited team will defend its title once more in 2019. The team were also the European champions three times running in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
