Following the local Hackathon that took place in 37 countries and 59 cities around the world, the ActInSpace international semi-finals and finals took place virtually on February 4 & 5 in partnership with Dassault Aviation!

During the semi-final, on Thursday February 4: 37 teams (one team per country) divided into 6 pools competed to win a place in the final.

Following these semi-finals, 6 teams qualified for the finals: Australia, France, Germany, Burkina Faso, Estonia and Argentina.

On Friday, February 5, the 6 teams met virtually to compete in the finals in front of an internationally renowned jury composed of the top management of the event’s international sponsors.

After several months of work on innovative projects associating the space sector with current issues (such as health, environment, security, etc.), the jury chose the winner of this 4th edition of ActInSpace: Full Metal Energy (France). The project of this team aims to provide the energy necessary for the development of the first lunar base. For this, lunar resources will be used in an autonomous cycle.

Congratulations to this team composed of 5 young PhD students!
