On July 1, 2016, the 2015 class of French Air Force cadets received the name “Marcel Dassault”. This date marked both the Group’s 100th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of Marcel Dassault’s disappearance.

Five years later, the initial training cycle for the pilots of the Marcel Dassault class came to an end.

To mark the occasion, a military pilot’s license was awarded on October 6, 2021, at the BA 709 base in Cognac, under the command of Colonel Nicolas Lyautey.

Eleven pilots, including nine from the Marcel Dassault class, received their “badges” during this military ceremony, presided over by the Chief of Staff of the French Air Force, General Mille, and attended by Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation.
