For this twenty-fifth edition of the Childhood Dreams Air Tour of France, the event will be held from September 24 to October 2, 2021. With the objective, as always, of bringing together “extraordinary” children, affected by illness or disability, and “ordinary” children…
Pushed back due to the health situation, the association “Les Chevaliers du ciel” (Knights of the Sky) will embark on its Childhood Dreams Air Tour of France on September 24, taking off from Carcassonne for a final landing on October 2 in Perpignan. In between, there will be stops in Rodez, Saint-Etienne/Saint-Chamond, Toussu-le-Noble, Beauchevain (Belgium), Pérouges and Berre-la-Fare.
With support from Dassault Aviation, among others, since its creation, this impressive initiative has enabled more than 29,000 children to experience initiation flights at 188 stages. At each of these, where the Childhood Dreams village is set up, no fewer than 300 adults are mobilized – volunteer pilots under the auspices of the Knights of the Sky association, but also organizers, guides, facilitators, people involved in logistics, and many more.
Sponsors include the actors Véronique Jannot and José Garcia and television hosts Michel Drucker and Laurent Cabrol. Just a few days from take-off and the teams are already on the starting blocks for a twenty-fifth edition that is shaping up to be exceptional, inspired as always by the watchwords of the president of the Knights of Sky, Jean-Yves Glémée: “To prevent difference from causing indifference.” Let the fun begin!
