A new play for the reopening of the Petit Montparnasse, “Saint-Ex in New-York”, about the destiny of the famous aviator to see until June 27, 2021.

Summer 1972, in a seaside villa near New York. Saint-Exupery writes “The Little Prince” on the advice of his wife Consuelo and her lover Denis. A friendship dawns between the two men. Sometimes Saint-Exupery joins his mistress, the American journalist Sylvia Hamilton. Despite his poor health, he responds to the announcement of the Allied landings in North Africa.

This is when an unlikely union arises between Consuelo, Sylvia and Denis to dissuade Saint-Ex from leaving at all costs. This dramatic comedy stars Gaël Giraudeau, Adrien Melin, Alexandra Ansidei and Roxanne Bennett.

Written and directed by Jean-Claude Idée, who also designed the set and lighting, “Saint-Ex in New York” evokes the author and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupery and his extraordinary life. The show will run on rue de la Gaîté, 75014 Paris until June 27.
