The 80th anniversary of the fighter squadron 2/5 Île-de-France is being celebrated on October 14, 2021, at air base 115 Orange-Caritat.

This anniversary also commemorates the decree signed by General de Gaulle on October 20, 1941, for the creation of the fighter group in England. It was at this time that the Free French Forces (FAFL) were founded.

A flight demo (both dynamic and static) will feature ambassadors from the French Air and Space Force (AAE) and their fleet, in addition to historic warbirds. A Mirage 2000C painted especially for the occasion will also be present.

Dassault Aviation is a partner of the event, which is being held in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the French Air and Space Force (CEMAAE), General Mille.
