An epic on the Alps that brings together two volumes of adventures as the duo arrives in Switzerland to deliver a Mirage III intended for training. But in the most tense hours of the Cold War, this routine mission does not exactly go as planned…

Combining “Shots in the Alps” and “The Pilot who knew too much,” two volumes from the “Classic” series of the “Adventures of Tanguy and Laverdure,” this set of books spanning 96 pages will embark you on a long mountain epic. You will be caught up in a plot with multiple twists and turns, that accurately draws on the geopolitical context of the years that followed the Cuban missile crisis.

But the Swiss Republic seems to be more concerned about the flurry of espionage in the country. And to top it all off, there’s a scandal in which a politician seems to be involved…
In “The Pilot who knew too much,” the two partners, still in Switzerland, witness a series of events each more unexpected than the last. Between a mid-air shooting attempt on Tanguy, a murder and an intriguing suicide, the situation gets murkier by the day and forces the two pilots to conduct an investigation. Soon, a charming female British agent is identified. Who is she working for?

Given the geopolitical context, Tanguy and Laverdure have to prove their credentials. They have to infiltrate the very closed world of international espionage, a microcosm where the slightest mistake can prove fatal…
