On July 7, 2018, the Le Versoud Aerodrome in Grenoble will be hosting the second Grenoble Air Show. This year’s event will celebrate the centenary of the end of World War I.
Starting at 9:00 am, visitors can enjoy an exhibition about aviation during World War I, experience what it was like in a World War II U.S. camp, discover flight simulators and have a look at a number of aircraft on static display.
2:00 until 6:00 pm is showtime. Visitors can marvel at an incredible air display when aircraft such as Fokker E-III, S.E.5a, Fokker DR1, Yakovlev Yak 3, TBM Avenger, and a Dassault MD 312 “Flamant” take to the skies. Aerobatics teams, the Patrouille de France (French Acrobatic Patrol), and reconstructions of aerial combats from WWI are also on the agenda.
The night air display starts at dusk, around 7:00 pm, and will culminate in a spectacular finale with pyrotechnic effects lighting up the sky.
